Welcome to KN-Photography.
KN-Photography is Kai Nielsen. I am a freelance photographer out of Burbank, California since 1998 - just outside Hollywood. I specialize in action and team / individual sports photography, portrait, and still life. Some of my past clients include Ikea, The City of Burbank, The Burbank Animal Shelter, National Sports Photography Network, Unity Shows, many local sports teams, as well as being a member of the Society of Sports and Event Photographers (SEP). I am also active in my community, having recently taken part in the Burbank Police Dept's Civilian Academy (where I met my wonderful Fiancé Melissa), taking part in several training exercises with the Police and Fire Dept, and I will become a CDV (Civilian Disaster Volunteer) during the next training session.
I have always had a love for great photography, and had a passing interest for many years. Finally in 1997 I started training in my passion at CSUN, where I studied everything from black and white photography, to color photography, studio photography, as well as printing in my own dark room. During that time I participated in several art shows both on and off campus; and I was also the first photography student ever to sell one of my works during the yearly Student Art Show. Since then I have been asked to take part in art shows at The Avalon Hollywood, Studio Space 1620, and 24th St. Theater, and four art shows at The Hard Rock Cafe Universal City.
