1. Find out how many teams and individual players will
need photographed.
2. Location, Location, Location. Indoors is often best
due to weather, wind and bugs. We have our own lighting systems and backdrops
for indoor shoots. For outdoor locations, we are limited by the angle of
the sun, and what the background of the field is. Please try to find a spot
for us with out cars or distractions.
3. Timing is everything. Most sports will small teams (15
or fewer players) don’t need more than 15 minutes. If you have a lot
of teams you can schedule them down to 10 minutes each, but make sure they
arrive ready to go. With the new advances in digital cameras we virtually
eliminate all the blinkers, and goofy looks at photo day.
4. Envelopes and order forms. Please ensure they are handed
out at least one week prior to photo day. The order forms are very self
explanatory and all prices include tax. Please be careful and neat when
entering custom data on trading cards, plaques and
other products.
5. It is very helpful to us if we can have a copy of the
photo schedule prior to photo day. We can often spot scheduling issues and
fix them before they become at problem on photo day. It will also help us
determine how much staff and equipment to bring.
6. Make sure to ask us about Action Photography! It’s
a great fundraiser for the league!
7. Keep a list of all comments. We want to hear the good
and the bad. It is important for us to take care of your organization and
to help you with any problems that came up.
8. Please keep in mind the normal weather for the time
of year, and have a “rain date” in mind even it never rains
on that day. We have had to re-schedule due to brush fires, earthquakes,
and other natural disasters. Also please try and avoid any holidays, or
weekends with special events in your city. Having parade the next block
over can make it impossible for people to arrive (trust us.)
9. Please have a board member or team parent on hand to
assist and act as a liaison between your league and us.
10. Book early, popular dates fill up fast. Avoid holidays
and special events.
11. Have fun. And contact us if you have any questions!
